@Annette Bartlett-Golden, Hidden Trail at Pilot Mountain. Oil on canvas, 5 by 17 inches. $85 A Poem for Spring
April in North Carolina is a profusion of natural splendor with azaleas, dogwoods and many other flowering trees bursting into bloom all within a few weeks of each other. With so many plants awakening after months of dormancy and now growing anew, it’s also a good time for contemplating fresh starts and different perspectives. It is in this vein that I composed the poem below which began with the fleeting remnants of a dream.
